1. Working principle
Dry-type transformer is actually an electrical appliance that uses the principle of electromagnetic induction to transmit electrical energy or signals from one circuit to another. It is an important part of electrical energy transmission or signal transmission. It is widely used in local lighting, high-rise buildings, airports, terminals, CNC machinery and equipment and other places. Simply put, dry-type transformers refer to transformers in which the iron core and windings are not immersed in insulating oil. Dry-type transformers are mainly divided into three types: open type, closed type and cast type.
The working principle of dry-type transformers is the same as other transformers, using the principle of electromagnetic induction to realize the rise and fall of voltage. When an input voltage is applied to the input coil, a magnetic field is created in the core, which passes through the output coil, inducing a voltage in the output coil. By changing the ratio of the turns of the input coil and the output coil, the input voltage and output voltage can be increased or decreased.
2. Structure
The structure of dry-type transformers is different from oil-immersed transformers. It does not require an oil pool and cooling system, so the structure is simpler. The main structure of a dry-type transformer includes iron core, input coil, output coil, insulation material and shell.
The iron core is the core part of a dry-type transformer. It is made up of multiple iron sheets. The iron sheets are separated by insulating materials to reduce the loss and noise of the iron core.
The input coil and output coil are wound on the iron core respectively, and they are separated by insulating materials to avoid electrical short circuit and leakage.
Insulation material is an important part of dry-type transformers, which can effectively isolate the input coil and output coil and prevent electrical short circuit and leakage.
The outer shell is the protective shell of the dry-type transformer. It can protect the transformer from the influence of the external environment and also can dissipate heat.
