HZSF-702 is suitable for all electrical equipment that uses SF6 gas as an insulation or arc-extinguishing medium. In power systems, such equipment covers nearly all core devices in substations of 110kV and above. The main application scenarios are summarized to help users determine whether their inspection needs are met.
SF6 circuit breaker
The SF6 circuit breaker is the most frequently inspected object and the equipment type for which limit standards are emphasized in the appendix of the manual. A circuit breaker typically consists of two gas compartments: the support unit and the interrupting unit. During inspection, the corresponding charging interface is selected based on the measurement purpose. The HZSF-702 requires approximately 3 to 5 minutes for measurement on each circuit breaker, making it suitable for routine substation inspections.
GIS Combined Equipment
Gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) is a combined device that integrates multiple equipment functions within a sealed metal enclosure, filled with SF6 gas. Each gas compartment in the GIS typically features dedicated inspection interfaces, allowing for compartment-by-compartment testing via the HZSF-702 system using matching self-locking connectors. Despite its excellent sealing performance, the complex maintenance of gas compartments necessitates regular humidity testing as a critical measure for ensuring long-term safe operation.
Gas-insulated switchgear (C-GIS)
Medium voltage gas-insulated switchgear is widely used in industrial power distribution and urban power grids, typically filled with SF6 or mixed gases, and requires regular humidity monitoring.
Hydrogen cooling generator hydrogen system
Some large generators use hydrogen cooling, and the humidity of hydrogen also needs to be monitored. Capacitance hygrometers are suitable for hydrogen as well, but it is necessary to confirm whether the instrument supports hydrogen as a medium (please consult the manufacturer for confirmation).
Precautions: The instrument is not suitable for detecting equipment containing corrosive or flammable gases, as specialized detection methods are required for such scenarios.
